FIGHT!

Funny commercial!

I am now an official Indiana University alumnus!!! Hooray ! I couldn’t contain myself at graduation, I was overjoyed with emotion. This past week I also made the decision to stay in Bloomington a little longer preparing for the GRE and GMAT, so that I can also add graduate school to my plans if I choose. I’m not ready to leave just yet lol… Still working on my world takeover plan !

Stay tuned folks :)

I’m still on the job hunt. The job hunt experience is truly one of a kind. I graduate in 10 days - eek ! and back to Indianapolis I go.

My interest in tiny houses has resurfaced. I would love, love, love to purchase a plot of land in downtown Indianapolis (old north side) and build my own tiny house. I’d like to attend a Tumbleweed workshop in the next year to start getting solid information. Additionally I’d like to start downsizing (which should be an easy transition from college living) and saving up money.

I’d also like to start doing Yoga weekly again. I need that in my life.

This summer some of my goals are to get involved in a community garden, start taking Arabic classes and continue trying to purge my life of all of the excess.

Windows Phone outsells iPhone in some parts of the world
Good news from Microsoft and IDC regarding Windows Phone. And before we knock it, remember that babysteps are also steps, and we all have to start somewhere.
Frank X. Shaw, Corporate Vice President of Corporate Communications at Microsoft:

Windows Phone has reached 10 percent market share in a number of countries, and according to IDC’s latest report, has shipped more than Blackberry in 26 markets and more than iPhone in seven.

So, in which countries does WP outsell the iPhone? NYT’s Nick Wingfield asked IDC:

Argentina, India, Poland, Russia, South Africa and Ukraine. A seventh “country” where Windows Phone shipments beat iPhone is actually a group of smaller countries, including Croatia, that IDC lumps together in a category called “rest of central and eastern Europe.”

It has been a few months since I last posted… Life has been crazy to say the least.

A few updates… I am moving back to Indianapolis and have decided to postpone graduate school. Indianapolis has really grown in many terrific ways since I graduated from High School. Moving back to Indy after having studied in Chicago, and Bloomington would allow for me to experience Indy in a new way. I’m really excited to try out new restaurants, attend different events, and meet new people. Also it’ll give me the ability to relax and figure out what I want to do next, travel and be closer to family. Win’s all around…Speaking of Win’s I’ll be in Indy this Friday for a second interview with a company for a Sales/Management trainee position. *crosses fingers* It’s not a telecom company but I’m excited all the same. I have been hitting the pavement looking for jobs that will give me the ability to learn some great transferable skills, and also allow for me to have a clear pathway up.

Hopefully my life will slow down a tad, and I land the job…Then all I’ll have to worry about is finding an apartment and ending the semester on a great note !

Life has been crazy to say the least… I have a new phone, the Samsung GS3 (amazing!), and i’ve started a new job (pretty chill)… I’ve also been applying to a zillion jobs (*palms face*), and doing a couple interviews for when I graduate.

I’m ready for this to all be over with. It would be lovely if I received a job offer by March, so I can relax on spring break :)

One of my favorite Samsung Galaxy S III Commercial’s.

I’m obsessed with Toyota Priuses and this commercial.

Aha, that’s why Apple didn’t call it the iPad 3…

Guess it’s clear now why the 3rd gen iPad didn’t get to be called iPad 3. The product wasn’t really where Apple wanted it to be, and the company knew it would upgrade the tablet as quick as possible. To present a “brand new” iPad 4 already now wouldn’t have sit very well with the market, but now Apple just did an upgrade to “the iPad” which is both welcome and easier to swallow.

Overall it was a big day for Apple and the company presented some substantial upgrades and new products at today’s event. Besides the new iPad Mini, the company introduced a faster 9.7 inch iPad with lightning port, new super thin iMacs, a retina display 13 inch Macbook Pro, an upgraded Mac mini and Fusion drive, a new hybrid disk technology. Now I look forward to what Microsoft and Google have in store for us in the upcoming week.
